Who Is Jesus Christ? Who He Is and the Mother nature of His Character

Ask a neighbor, coworker, or household member “Who is Jesus Christ?” and you could be difficult-pressed to find a distinct and appropriate response. There is considerably confusion in today’s society relating to Christ – who He is and the mother nature of His character. The early church was also perplexed, and the guide of Colossians was created by the apostle Paul to support explain that the truth of Christ is vital to Christianity. If Christ is not the Savior of all mankind, our planet is hopeless if Christ is the Savior of the planet, then we should worship Him.

With this conviction of truth, Paul lays out specifically who Christ is in Colossians chapter 1. He does this, not so his audience become puffed up theologically, but so that their lives may possibly be remodeled by realizing Christ far more.

This part of Scripture teaches some fundamental traits of Christ:

He is Lord of Development: In this passage Paul exhibits Christ as the one who completed equally redemption and creation. who is jesus Paul is communicating to his audience that Christ has supreme authority above every thing. By His phrase, generation arrived into becoming. Nevertheless He is the Phrase incarnate who bore the sins of the entire world. If this reality does not guide us to awe and worship, then we do not really grasp its magnitude!

He is the Picture of the Invisible God: In Christ, the invisible God is created obvious. In regular Greek letters of Paul’s working day, writers often concluded by enclosing an impression of them selves such as a seal, stamp of authority, or in depth description, which served to authenticate the authorship. Although this analogy breaks down slightly, this is equivalent to Christ in relation to God. Nonetheless, not only is Christ the representation of God, but He is also the precise manifestation of God. In other phrases, Christ genuinely and just signifies all of God’s character, and He truly manifests all of who God is as effectively (Hebrews one:one-three).

In Him All Issues Maintain Jointly: Practically nothing that exists does so apart from Christ. This real truth is derived from Christ’s partnership to the universe, specifically that He is Creator. If He ended up not Creator and God, then nothing would keep collectively. Due to the fact He is God and Creator, everything retains collectively at His command.
Paul makes the reality of Christ simple to the Colossians, leaving small space for confusion. The Bible plainly communicates who Christ is, and Christ evidently communicates who God is. As a result, soon after reading this passage in Colossians we are still left with at least 3 choice factors:

Will we take the truth that Christ is Creator, or will we accept the fake teachings of this entire world that seek out to minimize His authority and His Term by making gentleman the supreme authority?

Will we settle for the fact that Jesus Christ is completely God in His incarnation, or will we devalue His deity to that of a prophet or a good trainer?

Will we settle for the reality that Christ holds all creation jointly, or will we also deny His sovereignty through worry, stress and the acceptance of “doomsday” philosophy?
